Core Coins Are Back!
The JHU School of Medicine is investing in their people — by providing them with resources to advance their work and pursue scientific innovation — which is essential for remaining a world class academic medical center. In this spirit, the JHU SOM is delighted to announce the creation of a new research award to help junior and midlevel faculty members accelerate their discovery and bring their innovative ideas to fruition.
The Grant Accelerator Program will provide onetime grants of $5,000–$15,000 to provide Core Coins for junior and midlevel faculty members and help them overcome barriers to successful grant submissions. These small awards provide a way to rapidly fund data acquisition and analysis that investigators need as part of their grant applications. The funds may be spent at the Genetic Resources Core Facility (GRCF) on services for clinical or laboratory projects.
The GRCF is available to assist qualified investigators with their Applications utilizing the GRCF solutions. Our experts can assure that your project includes an accurate description of the services required and the cost of those services.
